The lake itself is the anchor. The loop trail is popular for walking, running, and biking, and the open water gives a stronger sense of space than you find in denser central neighborhoods. On clear days, the mountain views from the west side of the city are a big part of the appeal.

Day-to-Day Living
The neighborhood has been growing steadily, which means newer buildings, updated amenities, and more lease-up opportunities than you might expect. Many of the buildings I show here include in-unit laundry, fitness centers, garages, and rooftop decks. Parking is usually easier than in denser urban cores, but I still recommend budgeting for a dedicated spot if you drive regularly.
On the west side, Edgewater brings a quieter feel and easy access to Edgewater Public Market. On the east side, you are closer to the Highlands and a denser restaurant scene. That difference can matter a lot depending on whether you want a more relaxed block or a more active nightly routine.
